Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

The Community Pulse Foundation Inc. ("we", "us") is a non-profit organization incorporated in New Brunswick, Canada. We respect your privacy and aim to collect and use personal information responsibly and only for clear, appropriate purposes. The privacy requirements that apply to an organization can depend on the nature of its activities; where Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies to our activities, we aim to handle information consistently with it. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and related forms, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Your name, email address and phone number when you register as a volunteer or contact us
  • Information you include in a message, story submission or programme enquiry
  • Your name and email if you make a donation by Interac e-Transfer, as shown to us by your bank

We do not collect payment card details, banking credentials or government identification through this website.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to you, coordinate volunteering, deliver our programmes, acknowledge donations, and share occasional updates about our work. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Get Involved form

Our "Get Involved" form is delivered by FormSubmit, a form-processing service that emails your submission directly to us. FormSubmit does not require an account and does not store your information beyond what is needed to deliver that email. Their handling of that data is governed by FormSubmit's own privacy policy.

Website analytics

We may use privacy-focused analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. This does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not identify you personally.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was given, or as required by law, and then delete it.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to see what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You may also ask us to stop contacting you. Email us and we will act on your request promptly.

Children

Some of our programmes involve children. Where a child under 16 takes part, we collect information only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and only what is needed to run the activity safely.
